Sorry, Not A Fan

So I watched Brooks & Dunn perform last night on CMT's NYE show. They were ok. I knew they had kissed and made up this year and went out on tour together. Good idea, since Ronnie Dunn hasn't had a Top 40 hit for 13 years.

As you can tell, not a fan of Ronnie, and here's why.

My wife & I ran, literally ran, into him years ago while he was trying to be a solo act without Kix Brooks. We had pulled into our favorite local eatery for lunch, and I saw these 2 guys walking across the street from the hotel. All 4 of us met at the restaurant door at the same time, and as always, my wife was in front of me, so she and Ronnie met at the door. A nice guy would have opened the door for a lady, but no. He not only grabbed the door first, he walked in front of her and did not hold the door.

I was not amused, but here's the funny part. We didn't know who he was, besides being a jerk. It wasn't until I saw some people go up to him for autographs that I realized who he was, partly because I knew that he was playing at the Missouri State Fair down the road. But by that time it was too late; the damage had been done.

I gave him the stink eye as we were leaving; I'm sure that made a lasting impression. :)

Gotta say, though, I do like the Neon Moon song.
