Another Chapter Gone

My readers know that I perceive my life as a series of chapters. Last week, I concluded another chapter in my book of life.

After 20 years, I hung up my microphone for the last time on my little afternoon radio show on Good Time Oldies 1450-AM KOKO.

For those who have aged alongside me, gracefully or otherwise, you'll relate when I ask the questions - where did the time go? Has it really been 20 years? The reason I have difficulty with that is because it never really was a job for me; it was a very cool gig that I had so much fun doing! But there comes a time when you know it's right to move on, and we (my wife & I) are there. We are ready for the next adventures as we share our retirement years together. (You can't get me to say 'Golden')

This doesn't imply that I'm leaving broadcasting and entertaining. In fact, I intend to remain engaged with KOKO & KWKJ, if they'll have me, and also plan to produce more podcasts. It just means I can't commit to a daily show anymore. And oh yeah, more singing & playing!

I'm excited to share my newest project - I'm creating a 2-hour weekly show named Jaggy's Jukebox. In this show, I'll feature the Top 40 hits from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. No rock, no roll, just some of the greatest music ever recorded that hasn't been played in a while; until now! Naturally, I'll add my own Jaggy flair to it.

So stay tuned, as I will be sharing updates about my new show on social media - Facebook, Twitter X. Please follow me at the links! I will also update my website, jaggyjeff.com, with the announcement, details, listening options, the new logo, and more.

It's been a great run, but hey, I'm not going anywhere, and like they say, old DJs never go away, they just fade out. And what's the saying - When one chapter ends, another one, uh, umm, uh, well, you know the thing.

Stay cool, everybody.

Jaggy Jeff®
